Ultrasound Imaging Specialist Job Description

As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, the Ultrasound Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in producing high-quality ultrasound images to support patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical imaging and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Summary:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce optimal diagnostic images while prioritizing patient care, modesty, safety, and clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select and execute appropriate techniques for individual patients according to their clinical needs within established guidelines.
  • Provide personalized care for patients undergoing examinations based on their medical conditions and clinical diagnosis.
  • Participate in shift and on-call duties as per roster requirements.
  • Maintain the proper functioning and cleanliness of ultrasound equipment and accessories within designated work areas.
  • Ensure correct patient identification and accurate labeling of examination results.
  • Prepare necessary equipment and supplies for sonography procedures.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists and Surgeons in ultrasound-guided procedures and operating theatre settings.
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines and maintain a clean environment throughout procedures.

Requirements:

  • A recognized diploma, postgraduate degree, or equivalent in a relevant field, along with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to perform shift work and/or on-call duties.
