As a Procurement and Material Management Specialist for Civil Construction, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing various construction materials such as steel, bricks, aggregate, sand, plumbing, sanitary materials, tiles, cement, and more. Your main duties will include efficiently sourcing vendors and developing relationships with them to ensure timely procurement of materials with accurate quotations based on site requirements.To excel in this role, you must have a solid understanding of civil construction materials, their specifications, and current market pricing. Proficiency in using SAP MM or similar ERP systems is a mandatory requirement to streamline the procurement process effectively.The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and possess a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in civil material procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or construction-based environment. Prior experience with SAP MM or similar ERP systems would be highly advantageous.This is a full-time position that offers benefits such as provided food, health insurance, and provident fund. The work schedule is in the morning shift, and there is a yearly bonus incentive. The work location is on-site, ensuring hands-on involvement in the construction material procurement process.,
