Resident Technical Officer (RTO) (Night shift 9PM - 8AM)job description centers on supervising construction projects on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include inspecting materials and workmanship, interpreting technical drawings, reviewing contractor work, and liaising with the project team, contractors, and authorities to ensure projects adhere to contract documents and client requirements. Key Responsibilities On-Site Supervision: Oversee and monitor all aspects of construction work on-site to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Quality Assurance: Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet required standards and are constructed according to approved plans and drawings. Technical Review: Study, interpret, and verify construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals for design compliance. Compliance & Regulations: Ensure that construction projects follow all applicable contracts, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including site reports, progress photographs, and inspection records. Communication & Coordination: Liaise with the project team, including Qualified Persons (QPs), engineers, architects, and contractors, to facilitate project progress and resolve issues. Safety Enforcement: Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and risk assessment policies. Testing & Commissioning: Attend and witness necessary testing and commissioning procedures to verify system performance. Key Qualifications Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of technical drawings, building services, and construction methodologies. Site Experience: Previous experience in construction site supervision. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and the specific requirements of relevant authorities.
