Overview Laboratory Technologist (Comparative Medicine) – National University of Singapore Location: Kent Ridge Campus | Organization: Comparative Medicine | Department: Operations Job requisition ID: 30163Duties Performing daily care of animals, including related duties required for the proper care, feeding and housing of laboratory animals Performing daily animal checking and identifying clinical and behaviour abnormalities, to report to veterinary staff Performing daily checking of the facility or equipment, to identify and report issues to supervisor Performing routine cage changing and sanitation Performing general laboratory animal housekeeping and cleaning duties Stocking supplies Records keeping Operating equipment including cage and rack washers and autoclaves Receiving animal shipments Qualifications Diploma in Biotechnology or equivalent discipline preferred or minimum of GCE 'O', 'N' levels or Nitec Good disposition and not averse in handling of laboratory animals Ability to multi-task Good communication skills Attention to detail Able to work independently and in team settings Basic knowledge of MS Outlook and ability to become familiar with additional computing software Lift up to 15 to 25 kg Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to push equipment or cart weighing 50 to 100 kg Ability to perform rotating weekend duties and after-office-hours duties independently Process a valid class 3 driving license will be an added advantage Other Information Employee Referral Eligible Job Function Research, Analyst, and Information Technology Employment Type Full-time Industries Higher Education, Education Administration Programs, and Strategic Management Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at National University of Singapore by 2x.
