Overview Full time attachment at one of our childcare centres in Singapore under mentorship with a mentor teacher. Trainee teachers will be coached through our apprenticeship program and will be able to assume the role as a Childcare Teacher or Infant Care Teacher upon completion of the course. Course requirements Diploma Local Polytechnic Diploma and obtained a GCE O level credit in English (EL1) or a minimum band 6.5 in IELTS (Academics); OR Obtained a Degree with English as the medium of instruction from a state-recognised university OR 5 GCE O'level credits with a pass in English Certificate in Early Years Local qualification - Completed Secondary 4 education and at least an average SOA 5 in the Workplace Literacy series (WPL); either SOA 5 for WPL Writing or a GCE O-level credit in the English Language as First Language Foreign Qualification - Completed 10 years of formal education and at least an average SOA 5 in the WPL series, either SOA 5 for WPL (Writing). Certificate in Infant Care Applicants with local Singapore academic qualifications must have completed at least Secondary Two (2) education. For non-local Singapore academic qualifications, applicants must have completed at least eight (8) years of formal education. Average SOA 4 in the WPL Series Job responsibilities Plan, supervise and implement the programme for the class in accordance with the centre's policies and framework Complete progress reports on children for each semester and prepares a developmental portfolio for each child Set up and create a stimulating and engaging pleasant learning environment that promotes self-directed learning Responsible for all aspects of classroom management and carrying out routine care duties to ensure the safety and hygiene of the children Work closely with the other teaching staff in the class in carrying out the duties Build and maintain a close partnership with parents Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High tolerance level towards children is an advantage Able to work well independently as well as within a team #J-18808-Ljbffr
