Full time attachment to one of our childcare centres under mentorship with a mentor teacher, the trainee teacher will be coached through the apprentice program and will be able to assume the role as a Childcare Teacher upon completion of the course.

**Entry job requirements**:

- Local Polytechnic Diploma and obtained a GCE O level credit in English (EL1) or a minimum band 6.5 in IELTS (Academics); OR
- Obtained a Degree with English as the medium of instruction from a state-recognised university OR
- 5 GCE O'level credits with a pass in English

**Job responsibilities**:

- Plan, supervised and implement the programme for the class in accordance with the centre’s policies and framework
- Complete progress reports on children for each semester and prepares a developmental portfolio for each child
- Set up and create a stimulating and engaging pleasant learning environment that promotes self-directed learning
- Responsible for all aspects of classroom management and carrying out routine care duties to ensure the safety and hygiene of the children
- Work closely with the other teaching staff in the class in carrying out the duties
- Build and maintain a close partnership with parents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High tolerance level towards children is an advantage
- Able to work well independently as well as within a team

**Upon Completion of the course**:
You will be conferred the Diploma in Early Childhood Education by recognised awarding institutions and will be qualified to teach Playgroup, Nursery, K1 and K2 children from 18 months to 6 years old.
