The role will focus on developing algorithm for imaging technique, working with a hardware team to do various calibration and optimization to realize the imaging device.**Key Responsibilities:*** Development of software to realize phase retrieval algorithm and reconstruct the image from hardware measurement.* Simulation of the hardware system, generate simulated signal for the device.* Working with hardware team, provide input/feedback and guidance for hardware team through simulation data.* Create calibration protocol for hardware.* Prepare reports and formal presentations on project progress and outcomes.* Develop projects to enhance students’ academic development.* Oversee and manage the daily operations of the laboratory to ensure efficiency.* Provide supervision, guidance, and support to students for the project.**Job Requirements:*** Master or PhD degree in software, electronics, photonics or related field.* At least 5 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in development of software or hardware related to electronics or photonics.* Good written and oral communication skills.* Proficiency in hard skills / job-specific abilities acquired through training e.g. Matlab, Python, Arduino, ESP32 programming or PCB development skill.* Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design.* Interpersonal skill (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills).* Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU ( ).Ranked amongst the world’s top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world’s top young university for the past seven years.
