Petrochemical Trader role at Achieve Group
Our client is a leading commodities MNC with a strong presence in Asia markets. They are actively looking for a Petrochemical Trader to join their trading department.
Responsibilities
Execute proprietary trading of petrochemical products, covering both physical cargoes and derivatives, to align with market demand and company objectives.
Track and evaluate oil and gas market movements, focusing on supply-demand fundamentals and drivers of market sentiment.
Identify, measure, and mitigate risks, including price volatility and credit exposure.
Develop and sustain strong networks with suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders, while representing the company in negotiations and industry discussions.
Oversee logistics, shipping, and operational processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of traded products.
Guarantee all trading activities adhere to applicable legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance standards.
Monitor trade performance, including P&L, and propose adjustments to optimize trading strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in international trade or a related discipline.
Professional certifications in commodity trading considered advantageous.
At least 5 years of direct experience in gasoline or petrochemical trading, across both physical and derivatives markets.
Solid understanding of the global petrochemical sector.
Demonstrated history of successful trading performance.
Skilled in oil market analysis and data interpretation.
Strong analytical abilities to translate complex market information into actionable insights.
Advanced knowledge of trading strategies, financial products, and risk management practices.
Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities, both written and verbal.
Genuine passion for refinery-focused trading and commitment to building a sustainable career in the energy sector.
