Role Overview

The Head of Strategic Projects will lead high-impact initiatives with a dedicated focus on textile auxiliaries, ensuring that RUDOLF strengthens its positioning as an innovation and sustainability leader in this segment. This senior leader will drive optimization of business strategies for textile chemical inputs, enhance partnerships with global textile manufacturers and suppliers, and strategically expand RUDOLF's portfolio of textile auxiliaries into new and emerging markets. The role ensures full alignment with corporate growth ambitions, customer needs in the textile industry, and long-term sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

I. Optimization of Traded Business (Substrate Chemicals)

  • Drive analysis and optimization of the traded business portfolio in textile auxiliaries with a focus on profitability, margin enhancement, and risk mitigation.
  • Identify growth opportunities in the product mix, with emphasis on sustainable and performance-driven auxiliaries for the textile sector.
  • Establish performance monitoring systems for sales and ensure best-in-class commercial practices tailored to textile customer needs.

II. Strategic Market Expansion

  • Lead initiatives to position RUDOLF's textile auxiliaries in new and high-potential global markets.
  • Evaluate textile industry trends — functional textiles, sustainability and digitalization alongside competitive landscapes and customer needs to identify entry opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen strategic sourcing partnerships to foster innovation, enhance performance, and secure long-term collaboration.
  • Oversee feasibility studies, business case development, and execution roadmaps for expanding textile auxiliaries into key global textile hubs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align with customer demands and ensure seamless execution.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum15 years of professional experience in the chemical industry, with a strong emphasis on textile auxiliaries or specialty chemicals for textiles.
  • Proven techno-commercial expertise in product management, marketing, sourcing, supplier management, and/or strategic projects within the textile value chain.
  • Master's degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry required, advanced technical experience of textile chemistry highly preferred.
  • Additional management qualifications (MBA or equivalent) strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier optimization, international sourcing, and complex contract negotiations, ideally within textile auxiliaries.
  • In-depth understanding of global textile markets, with significant exposure to Asia-Pacific business dynamics preferred.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience driving cross-functional and cross-cultural initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and execution skills.
  • Techno- commercially astute, result-oriented, and adept at balancing cost optimisation with innovation and quality.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.
