GIS Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our GIS engineering efforts, focusing on the development and customization of GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise suite and FME Desktop/Server.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement GIS solutions that leverage spatial data analysis and integration for business growth.
  • Design and implement FME workflows for efficient data transformation and spatial data management.
  • Create and maintain REST APIs for geospatial analysis and services, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Optimize GIS queries to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance on geospatial architecture and decision-making, driving innovation and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews , document solutions, and resolve complex GIS issues through collaborative problem-solving.
  • Engage in cross-functional planning and discussions to drive business objectives forward.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in GIS development, spatial data analysis, and software engineering.
  • Expertise in ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise suite : ArcGIS Server, Portal, Enterprise SDK, ArcGIS Pro.
  • Extensive experience with FME Desktop and Server.
  • Proficiency in developing and consuming REST APIs .
  • Familiarity with spatial databases such as Oracle Spatial or PostGIS.
  • Basic Python scripting for automation .
  • Understanding of web mapping technologies and OGC standards.
  • Agile development experience .

Technical Competencies:

  • ESRI Products : ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
  • Programming Languages : Python, JavaScript.
  • Databases : Oracle Spatial, PostGIS, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL Server.
  • Web Services : REST, SOAP.
  • Version Control : GitLab or equivalent.
  • Spatial Analysis & Data Transformation tools .
