Primary Objectives of Position
• Focusing on data analytics within the scope of rail operations reporting to the head of the SBST Analytics Team (lead data scientist) and primarily collaborating Subject Matter Experts (SME) from rail engineering, SBST IT, project managers, and ComfortDelGro Group Digital Transformation Office in the development of analytics use cases and solutions
Major Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analytics solutions for the organisation, particularly on conditioning monitoring and anomaly detection to improve the reliability of rail operations
  • Deep-dive into large volumes of structured and unstructured data, to derive actionable insights
  • Perform ad-hoc and routine analytics reporting
  • Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Present insights using data visualization techniques and tools such as Power BI and Qlik
  • Identify opportunities for internal process improvement via data solutions.
    The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever is needed.

Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in economics, computer science, statistics, data analytics, operations research or a relevant field.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
• 0 to 2+ years in developing data analytics solutions
Knowledge/Skills

  • Production deployment experience, using tools such as Python, SQL, Apache Nifi, Apache Hop, Apache Airflow or equivalent
  • Experience and knowledgeable of model development, dashboarding, querying big data, project management, data governance concepts

Attributes (functional & leadership competencies)
• Working knowledge of Signal Processing techniques, Condition Monitoring, Anomaly Detection, optimisation strategies and deep learning
