What the role is:
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment.
What you will be working on:
You will lead and manage a team in administering the provisions under the Building Control Act and Regulations to ensure the safety of building structures and exterior features in Singapore so as to achieve BCA’s critical mission of a safe built environment. You will oversee a team to review & administer the building regulations on the safety of the buildings and façades. You will also be working closely with the industry to study and implement new policies, regulations and initiatives to enhance the safety of the building structures and façades.
What we are looking for:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering- At least 15 years related experience in civil/structural design and site supervision of building structures and facade works.- Registered Professional Engineer in Civil or Structural engineering field with Professional Engineers Board (Singapore)- Good interpersonal and communication skills- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities- Demonstrated leadership, planning and organisational abilities- Proficient in both written and spoken EnglishSuccessful candidates will be offered contract employment.Interested applicants, please apply online.
