Job Overview
As a senior mechanical engineer, you will play a key role in the supervision of construction works on infrastructure projects. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of engineers and oversee all mechanical and building construction activities. You will also assist the Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager in site inspections, contract-related matters, and defect identification.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead site supervision teams on all mechanical and building construction works.
  • Assist in site inspections and identify defects, supervise rectification works.
  • Address contractors' queries, assess method statements, and coordinate with other discipline engineers.
Qualifications and Experience
For this position, we are looking for a candidate with a good graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably recognized by the PE Board, Singapore. You should have at least 10 years of experience in supervising mechanical works in construction projects, particularly in water or used water treatment works. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers. In addition, you should have a solid understanding of quality management systems and be able to maintain accurate records and reports.
