The Manager of Costing is responsible for the Material Supply Chain as it relates to all T1/T2 footwear costing.
He/She will lead the selection, negotiation, and implementation of key T1 partners and T2 suppliers.
He/She will partner with Global Planning, Global Merchandising, Product Creation, Finance, and Global Supply Chain to provide analysis, guidance, and support in setting policies.
What You'll Do
Submit product cost in line with the costing calendar in a timely manner.
Audit cost breakdown per product SKU to ensure costs, consumption, defect rates, and raw material efficiency are within reasonable ranges.
Provide guidelines to manufacturing partners for material breakout to assist with HTS code completion.
Conduct bi-annual cost reviews and updates, and assist with standard cost setting.
Collaborate with functional teams or T1 partners to provide options and suggestions during NPI stages for low-margin or questionable styles.
Support pre-cost queries and assist in target cost setup.
Respond to design/PDM team requirements for costing analysis.
Identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities within the Materials Supply Chain and assist in implementing changes.
Drive data collection and reporting using Centric and CBD Access Database; contribute to data system development and maintenance.
Support continuous process improvements through interactions with Supply Chain, Product Development, Costing, and suppliers.
Act as liaison with global finance teams to align data needs and troubleshoot database issues.
Maintain awareness of industry best practices and trends.
Track tooling amortization monthly with each factory group.
