The Head of Home represents the Home in community engagement activities, external partnerships, and ensures the timely completion of all required reports. This role also emphasizes a collaborative managerial climate and adherence to best practices. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management and Compliance: Ensure services comply with the Standard of Care (SOC) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Review, approve, and update SOPs and best practices regularly to maintain SOC compliance. Oversee the safety and custody of residents and staff. Maintain up-to-date records, accounts, documents, and correspondence in compliance with regulatory requirements. Strategic Planning and Financial Oversight: Collaborate with departmental staff to develop and refine the Home’s strategic plan. Develop and manage the Home’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Staff Management and Development: Lead monthly staff meetings, Licensee Dialogues, and team meetings to promote communication and teamwork. Conduct interviews for new hires and ensure recruitment aligns with the Home’s mission. Oversee staff performance evaluations and ensure the relevance of staff training and development programs. Community Engagement and External Relations: Represent the Home at PERTAPIS events and organize participation in community and fundraising activities. Coordinate staff deployment for inter-departmental initiatives at PERTAPIS Headquarters. Liaise with law enforcement, regulatory bodies, welfare committees, and governmental agencies. Governance and Reporting: Report to the Licensee and Governing Board on operational performance and strategic objectives. Attend Review Committee and Advisory Board meetings, providing updates and answering queries. Ensure timely submission of required reports to internal and external parties, including government agencies. Promoting a Positive Organizational Climate: Foster a collaborative, collegial work environment and encourage staff input. Promote teamwork and communication to align staff efforts with the Home’s mission and goals. Regulatory Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with Ministry guidelines, statutory requirements, and best practices to ensure compliance. Continuously assess operations and implement improvements to enhance service delivery.
