The Role We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Head of Institutional Sales to lead our sales team in Singapore. This is a senior leadership role with primary responsibility for driving revenue growth from our institutional client base. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with an established network and a demonstrable track record of successfully pitching equity ideas, distributing ECM (Equity Capital Markets) transactions, and cross‐selling our full suite of products to top‐tier institutional investors. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Strategy: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high‐performing team of institutional sales professionals. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Singapore region to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain deep, trusted relationships with key decision‐makers at institutional clients, including Global Long‐Only Funds, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, and Pension Funds. Product Distribution: Act as a primary distributor for the firm's ECM (IPOs, Follow‐ons, Block Trades) and other capital markets offerings, ensuring successful deal execution and allocation. Content & Idea Pitching: Articulate and distribute the firm's proprietary equity research and investment ideas effectively to generate trade flow and provide value‐added service to clients. Cross‐Selling: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to cross‐sell the firm's broader product suite, including Fixed Income, Derivatives, Prime Services, and other financing solutions. Market Intelligence: Serve as the voice of the client internally, providing critical feedback to our research, trading, and investment banking teams on market trends, client sentiment, and competitive landscape. Revenue Accountability: Be directly accountable for the P&L of the institutional sales desk in Singapore, managing client revenue and ensuring profitability. Qualifications And Experience Minimum of 12‐15 years of proven experience in institutional sales within the equity markets, with a focus on the Singapore and broader Southeast Asia region. A demonstrable and extensive black book of existing relationships with key institutional clients (Global Long‐Only, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers) is essential. Proven track record in distributing ECM deals and a deep understanding of equity capital markets. Strong leadership experience with a history of successfully managing, developing, and inspiring a sales team. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas with conviction. In‐depth knowledge of equity products and financial markets. Results‐driven with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Experience with structured products, bonds, and derivatives is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An MBA or CFA charterholder is a strong plus.
