Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced reliability professional to join our team as a Reliability Engineer . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in the oil and gas industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide on-site support and manage the reliability of mechanical seals for customers.
  • Assist and guide seal installation / removal on site.
  • Conduct on-site pump /seal initial assessment and inspection.
  • Support commissioning of seal system.
  • Perform 5-point checks on equipment prior to seal installation.
  • Conduct site tours, identify preventive activities and implement recommendations proactively.
  • Co-ordinate seal activation and tracking.
  • Ensure timely repair of seals.
  • Prepare Inspection Reports and perform failure analysis.
  • To conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA's) for bad actors in the plant.
  • Manage reliability data, trending, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement reliability improvement plans.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain equipment & seal database and failure history using John Crane Interface Reliability Management software.
  • Perform root cause analysis, failure mode assessment, recommendations, and reporting.
  • Monitor key KPI's periodically.
  • Understand customer needs and review installations to make engineering proposals.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of pumps & mechanical seals in Oil & Gas or Petrochem Industry.
  • Knowledge of API Standards.
  • Field experience in Installation, commissioning & maintenance of Pumps & seals.
