Senior Security Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in enhancing our company's security posture.

  • We are looking for a candidate who can deploy automation to improve cyber efficiencies and streamline security processes by consolidating and integrating security controls to reduce complexity and gain cost efficiencies.
  • The successful candidate will implement artificial intelligence/machine learning capabilities in predictive cyber defense by building threat intelligence capabilities with increased automation, adversary tracking, and attribution.
  • You will lead the analysis, assessment, development, and evaluation of security controls for cloud-hosted infrastructures and provide visibility into security posture with active monitoring and containment of threats.
  • In this role, you will propose and deliver new capabilities using AI and ML technologies to support enhancements in zero trust security, web security, data leakage prevention, remote computing security, automated security assessment and testing, cloud security posture management, and DevSecOps.
  • You will utilize security analytic tools to provide insightful metrics for management and operational reporting.
  • As a Senior Security Engineer, you will support cybersecurity projects or initiatives by participating in meetings, managing project-related paperwork, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to identify security controls requirements during systems implementation.
  • You will evaluate emerging cybersecurity technology products and translate them into feasible solutions to strengthen our organization's cybersecurity defense.
  • Collaborate with lines of business, vendors, IT application, and infrastructure teams during the software development life cycle to ensure compliance with security architecture, information security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Take ownership of projects with domain specialization and play the role of the project manager adhering to our procurement and project management frameworks to deliver projects timely.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent with more than 5 years of experience in technology, information, or cybersecurity risk management, information security, or enterprise architecture.
  • A minimum of two years direct information security experience in a security engineer, architect, consultant, or similar role.
  • CISSP, CCSP, CISM, TOGAF certified is preferred.
  • PMP certified is an advantage.
  • A strong background in security architecture or engineering, including deep knowledge of endpoint protection, system security, network security, cloud security, data leakage prevention, security monitoring, and incident response.
  • A good understanding of major cloud service providers' products and solutions, capabilities, and limitations.
  • A good knowledge of cybersecurity tools and solutions with AI and ML capabilities.
  • Good written skills and able to effectively communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Basic structured programming or scripting skills as C, Java, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell.
