The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware prototyping for wearables or IoT, with a focus on low-power, rechargeable solutions. Responsibilities Define, design, and build a working prototype of a Bluetooth-enabled wearable device Integrate Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for seamless mobile app connectivity Develop firmware to support simple user input and device functionality Source and select appropriate hardware components for low-power operation Ensure the device is rechargeable and optimized for extended battery life Collaborate on product design, referencing provided technical drawings and requirements Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges throughout the prototyping process Document development steps and provide recommendations for future iterations Skills And Requirements Proven experience in hardware engineering for wearables or IoT devices Expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration and firmware development Strong understanding of low-power circuit design and rechargeable battery systems Ability to source and evaluate electronic components for prototyping Proficiency with prototyping tools and platforms (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, custom PCBs)Portfolio demonstrating relevant projects in wearable technology or similar fields Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently to meet project goals Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration Availability for a 6–8 week contract, with flexibility on schedule About Twine Twine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
