Analyze samples to support operations by setting up and operating laboratory equipment according to instructions.
Perform tests as per the Analysis Plan to monitor production and record results.
Communicate findings to Operations personnel.
Prepare reagents and standards for analysis.
Maintain sufficient laboratory inventories such as chemicals and consumables.
Participate in safety risk activities and follow safe laboratory practices.
Perform routine housekeeping to keep the lab clean and safe.
Cover duties in the laboratory stream as assigned.
Maintain laboratory equipment and quality systems
Calibrate, verify, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment as instructed.
Ensure proper functioning of equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
Update work instructions, analytical procedures, and records as needed.
Maintain laboratory records and quality files.
REQUIREMENTS
ITE/Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent.
Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical laboratory within the chemical industry.
Willing to work in Jurong Island on 12-hour rotating shifts (transport provided).
Additional skills:
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Team player with attention to detail and accurate data recording skills.
Experience with laboratory instruments like GC, HPLC, titrators, AAS, UV spectrometer, etc.
Laboratory equipment includes GC, HPLC, titrators, AAS, UV spectrometer, glass oven, rotary evaporator, density meter, X-ray, TOC analyzer, TGA analyzer, etc.
