Quality Control Supervisor Position Summary
The Quality Control Supervisor is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. This individual will ensure compliance to operating standards and drive excellence in quality control.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the activities of Laboratory Assistants who check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished products.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to optimize team resources, ensuring work schedules and targets are met.
- Collaborate with the QC Manager to classify final product and reworked lots.
- Troubleshoot and investigate quality issues, implementing improvements from analysis gap studies.
- Monitor in-process samples, liaise with production teams for preventive and corrective actions.
- Prepare activity and progression reports to identify recurring problems with product quality or testing procedures.
- Monitor staff, equipment, and laboratory processes to ensure quality control system effectiveness and efficiency.
- Prepare quality and budget reports and updates.
- Train lab assistants and shift technicians assigned to laboratory work.
- Supervise and coach team members.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical related field.
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in Laboratory Testing (Wet Chemistry)
- Ability to supervise and lead a team of Laboratory Assistants.
- Good understanding of laboratory equipment such as GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, NIR etc.
- Experience of Manual Testing
