Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with FSSC 22000 standards.
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS, HACCP, and relevant food safety regulations.
Identify and assess food safety hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Lead and participate in external audits, including FSSC 22000 certification audits.
Develop and deliver training programs on food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance for employees at all levels.
Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
Stay up to date with the latest food safety regulations and industry best practices.
Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, records, and reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in food science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role in the food industry, preferably in meat processing.
Lead Auditor certification for FSSC 22000.
In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and implementation.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
