DIM SUM CHEF

Responsibilities Prepare and cook a wide variety of dim sum dishes , including steamed, fried, and baked items, ensuring high quality and consistency. Develop and refine recipes to incorporate seasonal ingredients and meet evolving customer preferences. Maintain presentation, flavor, and portion standards in alignment with company expectations. Oversee ingredient preparation, portion control, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure efficiency. Ensure strict adherence to kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations at all times. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff , providing guidance on traditional and modern dim sum preparation techniques. Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure timely and coordinated service , especially during peak periods. Monitor kitchen equipment performance , reporting malfunctions and coordinating maintenance as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a Dim Sum Chef or Dim Sum Cook in a professional restaurant setting. In-depth knowledge of traditional and contemporary Chinese dim sum preparation techniques, including steaming, frying, and baking. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations . Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency. Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts as needed. Culinary diploma or equivalent certification preferred, but not mandatory.
