Position Summary:

Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Design Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed drawings of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in various building projects.

This role requires strong technical skills in AutoCAD and the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings. Experience in construction or building services projects is also preferred.

  • Prepare accurate and detailed drawings of MEP systems based on design inputs and site conditions.
  • Develop shop drawings and as-built drawings for electrical, air-conditioning, fire sprinkler, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Incorporate revisions based on consultant/client feedback and ensure timely updates.
  • Maintain organized drawing files and logs.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, company standards, and project specifications.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in MEP drafting.
  • Experience in construction, engineering consultancy, or building services projects preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of MEP services layout, installation sequencing, and coordination principles.
