Metrology Process Engineer
A metrology process engineer is responsible for developing innovative techniques and equipment to measure critical process metrics and close inline detection gaps.
The goal of this position is to accelerate cycles of learning by developing solutions that detect in-line yield and process-limiting issues early on. This requires collaboration with engineers in various departments, including process integration, data science, metrology, and yield analysis.
As a key member of the technology development team, you will be responsible for evaluating new metrology equipment, optimizing recipes, and working closely with vendors to drive metrology roadmaps forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new metrology methods to improve process control
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate metrology solutions into manufacturing processes
- Evaluate and optimize metrology equipment performance
- Drive process improvements through data analysis and correlation
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in a STEM field, such as engineering, physics, or materials science
- At least 10 years of experience in a semiconductor process engineering environment
- Proven expertise in metrology technologies, including optical, X-ray, and e-beam metrology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and technical writing abilities
