The Regional Senior Vice President (Google Cloud) will be responsible for driving and owning the Google Cloud business within the financial services sector for the APAC market. This role involves building the business from the ground up, developing strategic initiatives, and executing growth plans tailored to the financial services industry. The ideal candidate must have a deep network of connections within Google Cloud, either directly from Google or through established Google Cloud partners, to leverage relationships and foster business growth. Responsibilities: Own and drive the growth of the Google Cloud business within the financial services sector, ensuring strategic alignment with market needs. Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to build the Google Cloud business from the ground up in the APAC market. Leverage an extensive network of connections within Google Cloud, including direct relationships with Google and Google Cloud Partners, to foster business development and expansion. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, drive customer engagement, and deliver innovative cloud solutions tailored to financial services clients. Maintain knowledge of the technical specialism at the highest level by engaging with relevant literature, attending conferences, and participating in professional and trade bodies. Control the application of the technical specialism within employing organizations and closely associated organizations such as customers, suppliers, and partners. Lead the development and promotion of the technical specialism, including the release of quality standards and policies. Take responsibility for the provision of quality assurance of activities involving technical specialism. May provide input to professional bodies defining applicable legislation, standards, and compliance guidelines. Write or contribute to articles and papers, and speak at conferences or user groups on topics involving technical specialism. Provide organizational leadership and guidelines to promote the development and exploitation of technical knowledge in the organization. Determine the requirements for appropriate governance reflecting the organization's values, ethics, and wider governance frameworks. Provide advice and guidance to consultants and/or the client when delivering consultancy services. Manage the provision of consultancy services, and/or a team of consultants. Establish agreements/contracts and manage completion and disengagement. Identify, propose, and win further business for own areas of expertise. Engage with client management to explore new opportunities and/or grow client relationships. Provide mentoring to client staff and consultant colleagues. Establish and maintain policies for compliance with the organization's obligations. Lead reviews of governance practices with appropriate independence from management activity. Implement the governance framework to enable governance activity to be conducted. Act as the organization's contact for relevant regulatory authorities. Ensure proper relationships between the organization and external parties with a valid interest in governance. Take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the technical content of bids and sales proposals. Lead the organization's sales support service activities and team. Ensure that problems are diagnosed and resolved, and that final solution proposals meet customers' requirements. Lead the organization's customer service activities. Influence the development of the organization's portfolio of products and services. Assist customers in clarifying their needs and requirements for new and enhanced systems, products, and services. Ensure that customers are trained in the use of the systems, products, and services supported. Minimum Requirements: Proven ability to own and drive the Google Cloud business specifically within the financial services sector. Experience building a business from the ground up for the APAC market. Established deep connections/networks within Google Cloud. Strong strategic planning and execution skills. Typically educated to bachelor's degree level, holds a relevant professional qualification, and may have a postgraduate qualification. Proficiency in Governance, risk, and compliance or Security and privacy Skills. Demonstrates high standards of professional behavior in dealings with clients and colleagues. Possesses mature interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Recognized expertise in technical specialism and knowledge of IT and its business impact. Excellent interpersonal skills and strategic understanding of client business requirements.
