Description Working Hours Mondays to Thursdays: 7:15 am – 4:15 pm (incl. ½‑hour lunch) Fridays: 7:15 am – 3:45 pm (incl. ½‑hour lunch) No service required Saturday, Sunday, or gazetted public holidays. Hours may change per school needs and may be subject to time‑off in lieu. Service not required during school holiday unless specified by school. Experience & Skills 1+ year of working experience as Kitchen Helper / OSO / Cleaner / Hawker’s Assistant Independent and confident Minimum qualification: Secondary 4 Basic math skills (e.g., calculate ingredient amounts for seven classes) Knowledge of food and kitchen safety; food handling certification preferred (Food Safety Course Level 1 by ITE, WSQ Food Hygiene Course, Food Safety Course Level 1 by SHATEC) Key Responsibilities Be available in the Teacher’s Preparation Room and Food/Science Labs during working hours when assistance is needed. Perform OSO duties when required. Operations Support Officer (OSO) Maintain general cleanliness of equipment and workplace. Provide logistical support for school events (transporting, arranging furniture and equipment). Assist in preparing equipment, apparatus and substances for laboratory lessons. Perform any other assigned duties. Food Laboratories Prepare and divide ingredients before each practical lesson. Maintain lab food safety by checking and maintaining equipment and utensils. Inventory and stock‑take resources. Ensure cleanliness of Food Labs at the end of the day when lessons occur. Assist teachers during practical sessions (enforce safety rules, guide students in preparation skills). Check stock of ingredients at the end of the week/month. Adopt administrative checks and filing of invoices. Science Laboratories Clean apparatus and equipment. Clean dirty apparatus (e.g., brushing and washing test tubes, beakers). Clean benches, chairs, cupboards, drawers as required. Assist in setting up materials, apparatus and chemicals for science practicals, programmes, internal tests and examinations. Assist in replenishing apparatus and chemicals for science practicals and programmes when needed. Wash safety goggles termly. Help clean preparation rooms and all six science laboratories during school holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr
