Roles & Responsibilities Job Description – Pre-Press Manager Location: Signarama CBD, SingaporeDepartment: Production & Print OperationsReports To: Operations Director Role Purpose The Pre-Press Manager ensures flawless preparation of print files for production across diverse signage formats. This role drives accuracy, efficiency, and quality in file management, colour profiling, proofing, and workflow optimisation. The manager also leads the pre-printing team, maintains compliance with sustainability standards, and ensures seamless integration with advanced printing technologies. Key Responsibilities File Management & Preparation Oversee artwork setup, pre-flight checks, and proof approvals.Ensure files are compatible with large-format RIP software (Caldera, Onyx, etc.) and equipment (SwissQprint, HP Latex, Epson). Colour Management & Quality Control Maintain ICC profiles and colour standards across substrates.Guarantee output quality that aligns with client expectations and Greenguard Gold Certified ink standards. Workflow & Process Optimisation Implement efficient pre-press procedures to reduce turnaround times.Manage job queues, file archiving, and naming conventions for traceability. Team Leadership Supervise, train, and mentor pre-press operators and designers.Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to deliver accurate outputs. Technology & Compliance Ensure effective use of RIP software, Zünd cutting workflow, and double-sided printing setups.Uphold environmental and safety guidelines in line with Signarama CBD’s sustainability commitments. Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Degree in Graphic Communications, Printing Technology, or related field. Minimum 5 years of pre-press or large-format print experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Hands-on experience with RIP workflows (Caldera, Onyx, Wasatch) and digital finishing systems (Zünd, Summa, etc.). Familiarity with large-format printers (SwissQprint, HP Latex, Epson SureColor) preferred. Strong colour management, print proofing, and file preparation expertise. Key Competencies Excellent eye for detail and print accuracy. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and innovation. Commitment to sustainability and continuous process improvement.
