Job Description
The Welder plays a crucial role in fabricating, assembling, and welding components used in the oil and gas industry. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong background in welding techniques, precision work, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring all activities comply with Security, Compliance & HSE policies, laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices.
Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental protection, avoiding risks to employees, processes, customers, or communities.
Seek continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & Environmental practices, leveraging technology and best practices to exceed customer expectations.
Demonstrate effective safety leadership, especially for supervisors and managers overseeing teams and visitors.
Quality
Familiarize with and actively participate in the company's Quality policies and Management System improvements.
Maintain service quality as a priority and seek continual improvement.
Operations
Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and Stick techniques according to specifications.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Inspect welded joints for quality conformance.
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair welding equipment.
Collaborate with team members for project success.
Follow safety protocols, including PPE use.
Keep work area organized and safe.
Manage consumables inventory.
Participate in training and stay updated on welding technology.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years welding experience in manufacturing.
Technical certification as a welder.
Proficient with hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and TIG welding; MIG experience is a plus.
Knowledge of quality requirements, cutting torch use, and material-specific welding temperatures.
Physical ability to respond to emergencies.
