The successful candidate is expected to establish his/her research group at SBS/NTU, focusing on topics that may include but are not limited to, molecular biology of pathogenicity, bacterial and viral diseases, pathogen genomics, epigenetics, transcriptomics, proteomics (and other omics), emerging diseases, host-pathogen interaction, pathogen drug resistance, and drug-pathogen interactions. We also welcome researchers working on cancers and metabolic diseases studied in any model system. We are particularly interested in exceptional candidates who adopt an integrated, cross-disciplinary approach and are enthusiastic about capitalizing on the diverse and complementary expertise available within our faculty.Competitive applicants for the Assistant Professor position should have a strong record of research productivity and a well-developed research plan.In addition to developing internationally recognized research, teaching excellence is also expected of the successful candidate.
