Research Assistant (Biological Sciences)The successful candidate will work with A/Prof Christoph Winkler and Prof Berta Sivan on research work under a project on SINGAPORE AQUACULTURE SOLUTION CENTER. Main Responsibilities Plan and conduct life science R&D experiments and routine operations focusing on aquaculture such as husbandry, fish breeding, developmental biology, transcriptomics, routine molecular biology techniques, optimization of operations, diagnostics, health, genetics. Work with the project leader and co-project leaders to achieve the research objectives. Mentor students involved in final year projects, internships, short-term work attachments. Support the procurement of consumables and equipment together with lab management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in life science, Aquaculture, Agriculture or Molecular Biology. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships at all levels. Sound planning, organizing, multi-tasking, strong sense of responsibility. Proficient in IT skills. Good documentation, laboratory techniques, research and data analysis skills. Experience Experience in aquaculture operations and/or research would be an added advantage.
