Senior System/Software Architect

The Senior System/Software Architect plays a pivotal role in conceptualizing and designing the architecture for application development to meet customer requirements. This position demands analyzing, designing, and developing roadmaps and implementation plans based on system/software architecture.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing system/software architecture requirements and ensuring oversight
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner of the RPMS on product roadmapping
  • Ensuring applications assigned to team members are developed according to specifications
  • Making hands-on contributions to RPMS development efforts
  • Leading system/code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancement of the system design/codebase
  • Leading and facilitating system/software architecture governance processes
  • Reviewing and approving recommendations for system/software architectural standards
  • Aligning architectural requirements with IT strategy
  • Oversight of developing guidelines and standards for system/software development, integration, and testing
  • Providing recommendations on relevant emerging technology to senior management
  • Identifying and leading strategic technical capability development
  • Collaborating on research and development projects to explore new capabilities and applications for robotics technology

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • 10+ years of experience in two or more areas: system engineering analysis and design, autonomous command and control systems, unmanned systems architecture, cloud-native software architecture design, distributed software development, cloud-based robot fleet management, applying foundation models (LLM, VLM, RT) in robotics, ROS, and ROS 2, or robotic middleware, microservice architecture, hands-on experience with docker
  • Highly proficient in one or more programming languages, e.g., C/C++, Python, Golang, and JavaScript
  • Experience in Linux (Ubuntu/RedHat), Windows OS, MySQL or MSSQL database servers, communication protocols like WebSocket, Restful API, Open DDS, or protobuf, AWS, Azure, GCP, project management, Scrum Product Owner will be advantageous
