Position Overview The Managed Services Manager – Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the delivery, performance, and optimization of infrastructure managed services across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This role ensures high availability, reliability, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure while leading a team of skilled engineers and coordinating with cross-functional departments. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in infrastructure operations, strong leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of ITIL best practices, operational security, and compliance frameworks. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day infrastructure operations, including servers, storage, network, virtualization, and cloud services. Oversee a team of infrastructure and operations engineers, ensuring timely delivery of managed services and incident resolution. Implement and enforce ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and service management. Monitor and maintain infrastructure health, capacity, and performance metrics to ensure service-level compliance. Manage infrastructure lifecycle activities including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define service delivery models, SLAs, and performance objectives. Ensure infrastructure environments adhere to security, compliance, and governance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2). Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency and reliability. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and escalations for infrastructure-related services and technologies. Prepare operational and performance reports, budgets, and resource plans. Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and performance feedback to team members. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. Proven expertise in managing enterprise infrastructure — servers (Windows/Linux), storage, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure management. Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks; ITIL Foundation or higher certification preferred. Solid understanding of operational security and compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC, GDPR). Experience with infrastructure monitoring, automation, and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Ansible, Nagios). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience managing infrastructure in a 24x7 production or managed services environment. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Exposure to disaster recovery, business continuity, and capacity planning.
