Role Purpose Support the formulation and execution of enterprise‑wide growth, transformation, and strategic initiatives for Surbana Jurong Group. The role drives market analysis, strategic planning, business case development, and transformation delivery to strengthen SJ’s competitive position and long‑term growth trajectory. The Manager partners closely with senior leaders, business lines, and corporate functions to ensure strategic initiatives are aligned, data‑driven, and operationally executable. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategy Development & Market Insights Conduct market and competitive analyses to generate insights that inform SJ’s corporate strategy, business line strategies, and portfolio prioritization. Develop strategy papers, financial models, and recommendations on new markets, sectors, solutions, and innovation areas. Support long‑term strategic planning, including SJ30 vision, growth targets, and portfolio transformation efforts. 2. Growth & Business Development Initiatives Evaluate growth opportunities such as partnerships, JVs, M&A targets, new revenue models, and cross‑group collaboration initiatives. Build business cases including market sizing, financial projections, synergy assessments, and risk analysis. Coordinate end‑to‑end execution of strategic growth projects, from opportunity identification to recommendation and implementation planning. 3. Transformation & Operational Excellence Support Group and BU‑level transformation initiatives, including operating model enhancements, cost optimisation, digital/AI adoption, and process improvements. Develop implementation roadmaps, KPIs, and performance dashboards to track transformation progress and outcomes. Work with cross‑functional teams (Finance, HR, IT, Operations) to embed transformation initiatives into BAU processes and budgets. 4. Strategic Governance & Stakeholder Engagement Prepare high‑quality materials for senior leadership forums such as Board Meetings and Growth Committee strategy sessions. Coordinate strategic reviews, performance tracking, and reporting on key corporate initiatives. Engage business line leaders and subject matter experts to gather inputs, build alignment, and drive decision‑making. Support governance processes for investment proposals, strategic partnerships, and transformation projects. 5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Capability Building Work closely with Finance, HR, Innovation, and Business Lines to ensure integrated strategy development, execution, and tracking. Contribute to building an analytical, collaborative, and transformation‑focused culture across the Group. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or related field; MBA, CFA, CPA, or similar advanced qualification is a plus. Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, PMO, business development, or transformation roles. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in financial modelling and presenting insights clearly (PowerPoint). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Excel in a dynamic environment where you can take ownership, navigate complexity, and drive meaningful results.
