Overview What the role is: As a Senior/Public Health Officer, you will be protecting the health of Singaporeans by reducing the burden of communicable diseases through the development and implementation of evidence-based policy formulation, implementing and overseeing effective disease prevention and control programmes, including epidemiological surveillance programmes and timely outbreak response and management. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. Responsibilities Formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of the prevention and control strategies for contact and environmental diseases. Develop and implement surveillance programmes. Epidemiological investigation and outbreak management. Provide technical subject matter expertise. Programme management and administration. Qualifications Preferably with Pharmacy, Life Science, Medical, Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology background. 2-3 years work experience in public health would be advantageous. Strong analytical skillsets. Ability to work under pressure and simultaneously on different projects. Excellent organisational skills and resourcefulness. Good inter-personal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across disciplines. Willing to work beyond office hours, especially during outbreaks. Continuously keep up-to-date on new developments in the communicable diseases field. About Communicable Diseases Agency The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) was established in 2025 as a statutory board under Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) to serve as the central authority for public health policymaking to manage and control the threat of communicable diseases. This is aimed at strengthening Singapore's public health capabilities built during the COVID-19 response to ensure a unified command and coordinated approach across all situations, from routine disease control to future outbreaks. CDA safeguards the nation from communicable diseases through disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, vaccination programs, public education, and global health collaboration.
