Description Public Health Officer (Border and Travel Health) To protect the health of Singaporeans by reducing the burden of communicable diseases through evidence-based policy formulation, implementation of effective disease prevention and control programmes, and epidemiological surveillance strategies. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously. Key Job Responsibilities Develop, implement and monitor border health measures encompassing disease prevention strategies, surveillance programmes and outbreak response coordination. Provide technical subject matter expertise for border health. Formulate and review border health policies to prevent local establishment of infectious diseases of concern. Develop technical reports, policy briefs and strategic recommendations to support decision-making processes. Partner with multi-sectoral stakeholders and cross-border agencies for border health matters. Job Requirements Preferably with Life Science, Medical, Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology background. Minimum 2-3 years work experience in public health or border health. Experience in working on border health operations, policy development and technical writing would be an advantage. Strong analytical skillsets, including grasp of data analysis techniques. Ability to work under pressure and simultaneously on different projects. Excellent organisational skills and resourcefulness. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across disciplines. Willing to work beyond office hours, especially during outbreaks. Continuously keep up-to-date on new developments in the communicable diseases field.
