What the role is:

We are seeking a driven Principal Career Consultant who is passionate about partnering with individuals in their job search journey. The role involves working in a team to improve their career health and employability. In addition to securing job vacancies for jobseekers who approach Careers Connect for employment assistance, the Principal Career Consultant will lead a team of Career Consultants/Senior Career Consultants and actively seek ways to improve the team's performance.

What you will be working on:

Leadership and Performance Management

  • Lead and manage the performance of a team of Career Consultants/Senior Career Consultants
  • Inculcate professional conduct and compliance with the Code of Ethics for Career Practitioners
  • Provide thought leadership on hiring and jobseeker trends to various stakeholders in the organisation
  • Design, develop, and deliver new initiatives to enhance job matching effectiveness
  • Create monitoring systems to analyse the effectiveness of job matching efforts
  • Evaluate processes to ensure operational and service excellence

Employer Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Stay updated on labour market trends and employment landscape to provide insights to career coaches and jobseekers
  • Scan the employment landscape, including professional networks, to identify suitable vacancies for registered jobseekers
  • Engage with employers and hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and secure vacancies for Careers Connect

Advocate for Jobseekers to Employers

  • Collaborate with career coaches to profile jobseekers for employers, including resume enhancement
  • Pitch jobseekers to employers and secure interview opportunities
  • Prepare shortlisted jobseekers for interviews in collaboration with career coaches
  • Follow up on interview outcomes and address concerns to improve chances of securing offers
  • Gather and share feedback from employers and hiring managers for continuous improvement
  • Participate in events to promote job matching services among jobseekers and employers

What we are looking for:

  • At least 10 years' experience in business development, human resources, or recruitment, including 3+ years in supervisory roles
  • Strong network and proven track record of securing job placements in relevant industries
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, persuasive, with good business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in service excellence or CRM is a plus
  • Certificate of Employment Intermediaries (CEI) is advantageous
  • Ability to converse in Mother Tongues is advantageous
