Join to apply for the Trainer, Life Skills role at Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) / Pathlight School Pathlight School is the first autism‐focused school in Singapore offering the national curriculum along with life‐readiness skills. It supports students aged 7 to 18 years on the autism spectrum who can access the national curriculum but need smaller class sizes and specialised teaching. The Life Skills Team delivers a high‐quality life‐skills curriculum, planning, and execution of programmes and immersive experiences that equip students with essential daily‐life, safety, and well‐being skills. Responsibilities Customize and Deliver Lessons Tailor Life Skills lessons to meet each student's unique needs, addressing social skills, daily routines, and independent living. Contribute to Programme Development Refine the Life Skills curriculum and related teaching resources to ensure quality outcomes for students. Organise Learning Experiences for Students Plan and implement student learning experiences including residential camps, boarding programs, and overseas trips, providing immersive confidence‐building opportunities. Facilitate Real‐World Learning Lead students in experiential activities, community outings, and practical scenarios, bridging theory and application. Monitor and Assess Progress Track student development through ongoing assessments, maintaining detailed portfolios that record achievements and growth areas. Collaborate with Key Stakeholders Partner with educators, parents, and community organisations to create a supportive learning network and maximise student success. Qualifications Attained DISE from NIE or a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience teaching or coaching life skills to students with special needs. Proficient at delivering structured lessons and creating engaging activities that build independence while addressing unique learning needs. Effective communication and proven ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and community partners.
