**Senior Research Fellow Position**

The TMIG group under the School of Materials Science & Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a high-caliber senior research fellow to join an international team addressing a critical issue in cellular agriculture research and development.

The purpose of this project is to develop non-antibiotic mitigants that are safe for use and approved by regulators. The successful candidate will have experience in developing microfluidics-based delivery systems, biocompatible soft materials, nanoencapsulation, microfluidics, and lipid nanoparticle research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and characterization of broad-spectrum lipid, peptide, and glycan-based mitigants
  • Fabrication and characterization of 3-D scaffolds using new biomaterials
  • Design and development of post-processing and biomimetic cell culture environments for 3D scaffolds
  • Ensuring scalability and reproducibility of bioactive 3D scaffolds for large-scale manufacturing
  • Critical interpretation and application of experimental results
  • Data collection and preparation for research-related grant calls
  • Gathering information and preparing documents for reporting and papers
  • Assisting and delivering training to new team members with relevant laboratory and technical skills
Job Requirements:
  • Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
  • Strong experimental skills, particularly in functional materials fabrication, micro/nanoparticles fabrication, and associated methods
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to contribute to team services such as sharing and coaching new members with relevant laboratory and technical skills
