Bloomberg News is seeking a seasoned editor or reporter to lead its investing and real estate coverage across Asia.You will be responsible for working with experienced reporters across bureaus to break news and craft compelling stories on the evolving landscape of investing in the region -- from global funds' Asia ambitions in public and private markets to the emerging stars and stumbles in the hedge fund world. You will be tasked with tracking the trajectory of real estate markets from Shanghai and Tokyo to Singapore and Mumbai, and the key financiers and government policies behind it.We are looking for a leader with a clear vision and the ability to spearhead coverage of the biggest investing and real estate stories that resonate with a global audience. To excel, you should come equipped with an understanding of the asset management and hedge fund industry, an ability to translate complex financial ideas into conversational prose, and eye for building engaging enterprise that brings to life the people who move the markets.We'll trust you to: Lead a team with a breadth of knowledge across investing and real estate Manage breaking news with speed, accuracy and context Demonstrate strong editorial judgement and drive agenda-setting stories Mentor, lead, motivate and inspire your team Partner with Bloomberg magazines, Markets and BusinessWeek, as well as our digital team and talk about the bigger stories on Bloomberg TV and Radio Be a strong collaborator who can work with multiple teams and bureaus across the globe You will need to have: At least 5 recent years of experience in financial journalism Experience working in a real-time news environment Experience leading, mentoring, or developing teams in a newsroom Excellent writing and editing abilities with sharp news judgement Ability to drive exclusive, breaking news as well as informative feature stories Bachelor's degree or degree-equivalent qualifications Fluency in both spoken and written English Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization If this sounds like you: Apply if you think we're a good match.
