Overview Join to apply for the Head, Faculty Affairs role at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Background Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is one of the founding schools of NTU. Built on a culture of excellence, the school is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 130 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement faculty recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent such as Nanyang Assistant Professors (NAPs) to EEE. Collaborate with school leadership and HR teams to streamline hiring processes and ensure compliance with university policies. Establish faculty onboarding programs to integrate new hires into the EEE community effectively. Oversee faculty lifecycle such as appointment, promotion, and tenure processes in coordination with relevant stakeholders. Drive initiatives to foster a collaborative and inclusive faculty culture within EEE. Oversee the allocation and optimization of faculty office spaces and research facilities across EEE. Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty affairs-related queries from the Chair and other senior leadership. Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM-related field (e.g., Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or other relevant disciplines. Minimum of three to five years of working experience in higher education institutions. Relevant experience in faculty affairs, academic administration, or human resources within a higher education institution is preferred. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and engagement skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience in faculty recruitment, engagement, and space planning is highly desirable. Strategic thinking and leadership. Policy development and implementation.
