These datasets, when mined via Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, provide network-agnostic tools to improve authorization rates for merchants and partners.

Our Identity Graph consolidates internal and external data to create a comprehensive view of all individuals interacting with our ecosystem, enabling various use cases in identity-enabled fraud detection. This role focuses on data exploration and research to inform requirements for Visa's Identity Graph, collaborating with a globally distributed team.

The Product Analyst will work closely with engineering, data science, and other teams to understand data sources, both internal and external. The ideal candidate will quickly familiarize themselves with available data and think critically about integrating it to create a holistic view of individuals. They should communicate effectively with technical teams, business units, and partners, tailoring their communication style accordingly. Responsibilities include developing data-driven analyses to support product vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data exploration strategies to inform product requirements
  • Create data cleansing and standardization algorithms
  • Build identity resolution and assurance levels using advanced graph algorithms
  • Perform exploratory data analysis on new data sources
  • Establish metrics to monitor product health
  • Conduct analytical research on how the Identity Graph adds value and simulate outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop business cases and revenue forecasts

This is a hybrid position; in-office days will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic

  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or mathematics

Preferred

  • 6+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 5+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA)
  • Organized, structured thinker
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in SQL and/or Python
  • Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, large-scale datasets, real-time AI applications, and RESTful API design
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple deliverables
  • Collaborative with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Good judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to perform under pressure
