Job Description

As a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the production process. This includes overseeing the performance and results of Quality Control and Assurance, as well as Health, Safety & Environment functions.

You will lead, manage and mentor a team of professionals to ensure a productive and high-performance work environment. Your role will involve developing, implementing, monitoring and improving Quality frameworks and Standard Operating Procedures.

You will also be responsible for implementing and upholding food safety and hygiene standards, risk assessments, quality specifications, documentation and procedures to comply with statutory requirements and company policies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with Food Quality, Safety & Hygiene standards and requirements
  • Supporting the production team to trouble-shoot and resolve any product quality issues
  • Ensuring that all food safety, quality related and non-compliance issues are investigated and corrective measures are implemented and adhered to
  • Leading and coordinating internal/external quality audits with relevant parties
  • Preparing Quality and Performance reports for submission to Senior Management
  • Conducting Food Safety & Hygiene and HACCP related training to blue collared factory employees

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A good understanding of SFA, FSSC / ISO 22K, GMP, HACCP and other food related requirements and regulations in Singapore
  • Hands on experience in a similar industry setting
  • Good understanding of food safety, health and environmental safety audit requirements
  • Demonstrates leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Independent, proactive and meticulous

Candidates with a Diploma/ Degree in Food Science/ Technology or equivalent will be preferred. At least 8 years of experience in the Food Manufacturing / Food Production industry is required. However, candidates with lesser experience may be considered for an executive role.
