Overview
Deputy Human Resources Manager – Retail, location Orchard.
Responsibilities
Oversees the overall human resource functions, routine salary/payroll process and benefits administration tasks, cost management and human resource activities.
Formulates and implements company policies and procedures.
Develops manpower plans; conducts interview/selection of executive employees.
Investigates and advises management and employees on HR matters, preparing reports and/or proposals as required.
Manages and develops Staff Performance Management and addresses Organisation Development (OD) issues.
Administers budget and cost expenditure for annual increments and bonuses; participates in career development/career pathing issues and staff promotions.
Cost & Budget Management and Management Reports: prepares monthly budget variance and forecast reports; prepares yearly budget plans and reports; prepares management reports; oversees HR records and data administration.
Motivation and Development
Brainstorms and develops training strategies and plans; formulates service campaigns on a yearly basis.
Provides guidance to resourcing as well as training & development activities; drafts training-related policies.
Obtains staff feedback, provides coaching and administers/develops staff incentives program.
Communications and Advisory
Industrial relations management – handles matters related to Collective Agreements, annual increments and bonus discussions to reach agreements with Union branch officials.
Investigates and resolves day-to-day employee relations issues, staff counselling/discipline and grievances.
Develops/updates HR materials such as Job Descriptions, Service and Grooming Standards.
Plans and organises company’s annual function and activities; conducts staff/store inspections on service and grooming standards.
Oversees planning, recruitment and training of temporary staff for year-end gift-wrap activities and supports gift-wrap service (if applicable).
Conducts yearly appraisals for all team members to assess performance and support professional development.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by the company.
