Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of commercially viable health insurance customer offerings. This role will primarily be involved in pricing of new business / products and will be working closely with both the Business Sales and Product Development teams.
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct monthly reserve valuations for premium and claims liabilities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance (IFRS 17 and IFRS 4 frameworks).
  • Analyze and present valuation and pricing results to stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Perform experience studies including mortality, morbidity, persistency, inflation, and expense analyses.
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop actuarial models, valuation methodologies, pricing tools, and quotation engines.
  • Carry out capital management activities such as ORSA exercises, business projections, budgeting, CAR monitoring, and stress testing.
  • Manage reinsurance arrangements, including treaty management, reinsurance premium processing, recoveries, and facultative reinsurance for new and existing products.
  • Support system setup and implementation for new product launches.
  • Prepare and submit MAS regulatory returns, ensuring full compliance with local reporting standards.
  • Liaise with auditors during annual financial closings to ensure alignment with IFRS 4 and IFRS 17.
  • Produce and enhance business management information and client reports, focusing on portfolio management and data-driven business insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives and enhance workflows, ensuring data accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Stay updated with changes in actuarial standards, regulations, and industry best practices to maintain compliance and apply latest methodologies.
Requirements
  • Actuarial / Mathematics / Statistics Degree
  • Good progress in the Actuarial professional examinations
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, with basic knowledge of VBA
  • Good knowledge of Python
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Meticulous and resourceful individual
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in pricing of Group Employee Benefit schemes
