Overview As a UX designer, you will work with our scrum team and other government agencies to inform product and design decisions. You will influence the digital experience of the agencies’ digital services. This will involve having good interpersonal skills, sharp analytical mind, and astute design judgment. What to expect Within your first month... You have understood the overall product strategy, conducted a stock take on the UX status of the project, and contributed design screens for concurrent active sprints. By the end of 3 months... You should have gathered requirements, co-created with stakeholders and the scrum team, tested, prototyped, and shipped at least one new feature to the product backlog. After 6 months... You will have led research efforts to identify at least one opportunity for the product to grow or proposed enhancements for the existing tracks, in collaboration with designers, engineers, and product managers. Beyond that... You will continue to solve problems such as: How can we empower government agencies to create a seamless experience for citizens across digital services Help citizens complete the service with ease Resolve the agency pain points and improve operations efficiency Use data to improve government services Design for reusability across products How to Succeed A desire to serve the public through the use of technology Ability to grasp use cases and develop task flows quickly Ability to drive product solutions that serve the goals of both users and stakeholders Collaborative and understand that co-creating a product with the team and stakeholders increases the chance of success Identify the quickest route to design, test, and ship a prototype to prove a concept; be agile and lean Data-driven with experience in user research to justify design decisions Willingness to analyze user feedback and activity to iterate and enhance user experience Technologist at work Translate user research into design recommendations and findings Tackle complex tasks and translate them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs Be meticulous and possess strong problem-solving skills Frontend development knowledge is a bonus Preferred (Additional Requirements)At least 4–5 years of professional experience as a UX designer, or similar role in digital product teams Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in end-to-end product design and delivery, including facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, usability testing, envisioning interaction flows, and delivering high-quality UI design Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to design for diverse user groups Experience in Agile and UX development environment will be an added advantage How to Apply Interested applicants, please click on the “Apply Now” to submit your updated resume.
