Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Controllership Senior Associate to join our APAC controllership team in Singapore, reporting to the Controllership Director, APAC Corporate Accounting. This role will support financial reporting, analysis, and compliance functions while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information across our Asia Pacific operations.
Responsibilities
Assist, coordinate, and consolidate closing and reporting of Asia Pacific results with global, local, and JBS teams.
Support analysis of APAC balance sheet and/or Profit & Loss against past results.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly management reporting packages.
Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements in APAC.
Analyze and review new, amended, and/or terminated lease contracts and verify accounting is in line with ASC 842.
Coordinate and review the control environment and accounts reconciliation.
Monitor compliance with Global and Regional financial and operating policies and procedures.
Coordinate and oversee elements of our external and internal audits.
Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
Support implementation of new accounting systems and tools.
Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standard procedures.
Work closely with countries to identify opportunities to streamline processes and be a valued business partner.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in controllership practices in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a similar role. Regional experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience with financial reporting tools and databases; effective communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support project management initiatives.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS differences is preferred.
Problem-solving ability with a proactive, root-cause oriented mindset.
Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in evolving environments.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle PeopleSoft or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
