Job Responsibilities Utilize appropriate assessment tools to evaluate patients' performance components affecting their participation in self‐care, work, and leisure activities. Formulate appropriate treatment plans and goals within the inpatient stay and re‐evaluate and modify the treatment plan as required. Work with multidisciplinary teams in Ren Ci Hospital (RCH), attending weekly case management meetings and participating in discharge planning in consultation with patients, families, and external agencies. Maintain an accurate and timely patient record by documenting in patients' medical case notes after attending to the patients. Instruct and supervise occupational therapists and/or Therapy Aides in occupational therapy interventions for patients. Professional Responsibilities Practice Occupational Therapy in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct defined by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). Maintain absolute confidentiality in matters pertaining to the organization, department, and patients. Co‐present in workshops and seminars. Supervise and appraise Occupational Therapists and Therapy Aides. Supervise undergraduate occupational therapy students, foreign‐trained Occupational Therapists awaiting qualifying examinations, and Occupational Therapists under provisional registration. Liaise with external services, statutory bodies, and other Voluntary Welfare Organisations as appropriate. Supervise post‐graduate Occupational Therapy students if any. Lead research projects, and set clinical standards. Initiate and coordinate new therapy programs. Job Requirements Degree in Occupational Therapy (recognized by AHPC). Post‐graduate qualification or certification in treatment techniques is an advantage. Registered with the Singapore AHPC with valid practicing certificate. Highly encouraged to be a member of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapist (SAOT). At least 3 – 5 years of working experience in the relevant field. Experience in a geriatric community hospital, long‐term care, or nursing home setting will be an advantage. Mature and good team player. Able to serve those patients and residents in need, regardless of race, nationality, religious or social status. Compassionate and able to relate well to patients and residents of RCH. Caring, understanding, patient and empathetic. Able to cooperate with all colleagues towards the total healthcare of the community. Able to motivate and develop staff. Able to coordinate daily operations within the department. Able to promote a collegial work environment and encourage effective teamwork. The Occupational Therapist post is a rotational post within the various settings in Ren Ci Hospital (RCH), namely Community Hospital (CH), Nursing Home (NH), and Senior Care Centre (SCC).
