Vacancy Details

Primary Purpose: Functions as a technical specialist in municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge treatment processes. Performs all aspects of process design and analysis independently. Broad knowledge and skill set in the discipline. Knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas, including advanced process control using AI technology, will be an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design of process systems for wastewater treatment plants, including screening equipment, physical-chemical treatment, biological treatment, blower equipment, odour control, disinfection, sludge treatment, etc.
  • Design of ancillary systems like chemical feed, mechanical ventilation, and drainage systems.
  • Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams, mass balances, and P&IDs.
  • Development of general arrangement and equipment layout drawings.
  • Preparation of process equipment specifications and expected performance metrics.
  • Review and evaluate vendor submissions.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation & control designers, and digital water specialists.
  • Lead meetings, HAZOPs, and discussions with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Provide engineering support for bids and proposals.
  • Prepare testing and commissioning plans.
  • Lead process testing and commissioning activities.
  • Guide a team of process engineers and perform QA/QC of their designs.
  • Stay updated with the latest wastewater treatment and sludge management technologies and apply relevant advancements in design.
