Description and Requirements
Job Title: L1 Cloud Network Engineer
Job Overview:
Supporting local government agency projects and providing operational support for Cloud Network environments. This role requires onsite work, standby support, and flexible travel to different sites. Skills in AWS, Azure, and Private Cloud are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing L1 support and maintenance for cloud network infrastructure
Maintaining cloud network architecture
Implementing and managing network security measures (Vulnerability Assessments, Firewall reviews)
Monitoring and optimizing cloud network performance
Maintaining documentation and preparing reports
Evaluating and implementing new cloud network technologies
Coordinating with vendors/contractors for support, implementation, and troubleshooting
Handling network and security devices such as Firewall (Checkpoint, Palo Alto), F5 Load Balancer, Cisco Routers and Switches, Alcatel-Lucent Omni Switches, Aruba Clear Pass
Installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment and operating systems
Managing Cisco security devices, including ASA appliances and Juniper Netscreen
Providing network consulting for new projects and implementing solutions
Aligning with security governance teams and resolving security issues
Troubleshooting network, system, and application issues
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Cloud Network Engineer or Administrator
Experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Managing Cisco Data & Security Devices; ASDM, CSM, and DCNM
Managing servers and network services such as AAA, SNMP, Syslog, NTP, DHCP, FTP, DNS, VPN, load balancers
Managing Cisco Routers and Switches (Series 6500, 4500, 3750, 2960, 3560)
Experience with Alcatel Omni Switches (6850, 9000)
Knowledge of TACACS+, RADIUS, and Cisco Access Control Systems
Understanding of SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm, with standby support as needed
